2011 International CES Underway

Currently, the biggest international technology trade show is underway in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 6-9. This is where companies set up their custom displays and show off their new innovations and inventions. Every single year there are massive advances at this trade show, showing how fast technology is booming. At this year’s CES, many of Apple’s competitors have come out with their own tablet. 32 versions have been introduced, including Dell and LG’s 4G tablet’s.

There is so much going on at this trade show that it’s too hard to keep up with everything. A company called Amimon designed a technology that lets your gadgets connect to a HDMI TV wirelessly and transmits the audio video in full 1080p HD. Its limited latency enables game play from your tablet or laptop. It’s called WHDI. It works anywhere a HDMI cable is in use, without having to use the cable itself.

Lady Gaga introduced The Polaroid GL10 instant mobile printer. It is an extremely small photo printer that lets you print photo’s anywhere you want in under a minute, without using ink! Weighing no more than 15 ounces, this printer will be able to connect to any cell phone that has Bluetooth. If you want to connect it to your digital camera, then you can rely on the USB cable for that. You are even able to use it with your laptop or PC.

JVC has introduced the world’s first 3D camcorder that does full HD. It is expected to come out in March, but is has a hefty price tag of $1,999.95. This camcorder is obviously targeted at the industries fanatics and professionals. Before considering purchasing this, remember that you will have to upgrade your home entertainment system to accommodate this advanced camcorder.

Even T-pain is at CES promoting his new toy microphone. By speaking into it, your voice is transformed into his. Sounds pretty funny to me. CES has been successful for 4 decades now and is having another great year. The best technological advancements to date have been showcased at this trade show. If you are really into technology, then CES is the place to be on January 6th.
