How to Create Effective Custom Trade Show Displays

Customizing your trade show booth is a great way to catch the eye of trade show attendees. A visitor will spend only a couple of seconds looking at your booth, so you have to ensure that it holds the attention of the visitor and gets him/her intrigued about your product. When you successfully lure the visitors to your booth, half your battle is won. Once the visitors are at the booth, you can explain your products or give demonstrations. Here are some basic tips that will help you create effective custom displays.

Color: Use custom exhibits with bold and radical colors to stand out from the sea of other exhibits on the trade show floor. Sticking to a safe business-like color will fail to differentiate your booth from the rest and result in poor or no traffic. Design the custom display attractively with striking hues and prominent graphics that can be seen from a distance. But the emphasis should be on aesthetics, don’t end up designing over-the-top graphics with jarring colors, as this will repel visitors, defeating the very purpose of advertising at the trade show.

Movement:Holograms, flashing lights, video presentations and moving visuals are all different ways of attracting the attention of trade show visitors. Think creatively and innovatively about how to use technology and graphics to create an impact.

Light: Use accent lights in your trade show booth to highlight specific areas of the custom displays. The focal points of the displays can be highlighted using track lighting, spotlights or colored lighting.
