# Frequently asked questions

## Getting started

### How far in advance should I order a trade show booth?

For a custom or modular exhibit, allow eight to twelve weeks from approved design to delivery — the design and approval stage usually takes longer than the build. Portable displays and banner stands with print-ready artwork can turn around in one to two weeks. If your show is sooner than that, call us: we hold quick-ship stock and rental inventory for exactly this situation.

### I have never exhibited before. Where do I start?

Start with three numbers: your booth size (usually 10×10 or 10×20 for a first show), your all-in budget, and the show date. From those we can tell you whether to rent or buy and show you two or three options. For a first show we very often recommend renting — you learn what you actually need before committing to hardware.

### Should I rent or buy a trade show display?

Buying makes sense at roughly three or more shows a year with a stable booth size, since the hardware pays for itself. Rent when you are exhibiting for the first time, when two shows fall on the same date, when you need to expand an existing booth for one event only, or when the budget was set before the booth was. Rentals include installation, dismantle and in-house printed graphics, so a rented booth does not look rented.

## Artwork & printing

### What file format do you need for booth graphics?

Vector artwork (AI, EPS or PDF) with fonts outlined is ideal. For raster files, supply at 100 to 150 DPI at final output size, in CMYK. Every product family has a downloadable template with the exact bleed and safe area — start there. Send finished files to graphics@adfabexhibits.com and we will preflight them before printing.

### Can you match our exact brand colours?

Yes. We custom Pantone colour-match and proof graphics before running them. This matters most when one brand colour has to appear identical across different substrates and processes — fabric, Lexan and printed flooring all reproduce colour differently, and matching them is part of the job rather than an extra.

### Do you offer design help if we do not have artwork?

Yes. Our in-house creative team can design the whole exhibit and its graphics, or work alongside your existing agency. You will see a 3D rendering of the booth before anything is fabricated.

## On the show floor

### Do you handle installation and dismantle?

Yes, as part of our exhibit management service, along with shipping and logistics to and from the venue. For portable systems most clients install themselves — these are designed for tool-less setup by one person — but installation is available if you would rather arrive to a finished booth.

### Can you store our booth between shows?

Yes. We store exhibits at our Woodbridge facility, inspect and repair them on return, and ship them to the next venue. Most clients find this cheaper than warehousing it themselves once the cost of a damaged booth is counted.

### Are hanging signs allowed at every show?

No — this varies by show and venue. Most allow hanging structures over island and peninsula booths but restrict or prohibit them for inline spaces, and maximum height differs everywhere. Confirm the rigging rules with your show organiser before ordering, and we will advise on shape and size within those limits.

## Working with ADfab

### Where are you located and can we visit?

We are at 200 Trowers Road, Unit 6 in Woodbridge, Ontario — about 30 minutes north of downtown Toronto. There is a full showroom on site and we would rather you came and stood inside a booth than judged one from a photograph. Showroom hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

### Do you serve clients outside Toronto?

Yes. We are based in the Greater Toronto Area and work across Ontario, nationally through Canadian partnership programs, and into the United States. Shipping and show logistics are part of what we handle.

### Do you work in French?

Yes. We produce bilingual and French-language graphics regularly for Canadian shows, and several of our banner stand systems — the Imagine interchangeable cassette and the Tandem double-sided in particular — are chosen specifically to carry English and French from the same hardware.
