Taking Care of Your Banner Stand

Banner stands are used for advertising in public places. You often see them in restaurants, retail outlets, trade shows, exhibitions and other institutions. A basic banner stand consists of a frame and the banner itself. To use a banner stand the printed banner is pulled upwards from the base apparatus.

Recently, there has been an increase in the demand for portable stands. These are lightweight and easy to transport. The most frequent problem with such stands is that their mechanism malfunctions. A rollup banner consists of a spindle which is connected to the printed material. The spindle is a cylindrical tube. One end of the spindle is a free rounded axel, while the other is flat and fixed.

If the banner stand is not handled with care, its entire mechanism can be damaged. This usually happens when the ends of the spindle gets compressed. It is important to pack the stand carefully while transporting it. It should be cushioned at both ends so that no shock directly affects the stand.

In roller banners, the print usually get damaged because of the way it is opened. It should be gently rolled down and not dropped. Dropping it can cause tears in the banner. The stand should be tilted backwards while assembling or dismantling the banner. This also reduces the effort required from the person doing it.

Finally, you should store the retractable banner stand with extra care. In case it is wet or dirty, it should be wiped clean and dried before packing. A wet banner stand will omit an odor, become weak and disfigured, and the graphics might fade. So, it is important to pack, handle and store the stand with care.
